CJSF, which stands for California Junior Scholarship Federation, is an Honor Society that inspires middle schoolers to achieve good grades.
To be a CJSF member, students must have As and Bs in Reading, Math, English, History, Religion, Science, and behavior. This year Science was added.
An A is equivalent to 3 points, a B is 2 points, and a C or anything lower is no points. Students must earn 24 points in one semester to join CJSF.
When a student is a CJSF member for 3 or 4 semesters, during their 7th and 8th grade years, they will earn a gold seal on their graduation diploma.
From the CJSF Handbook: “CJSF prepares the student for CSF membership. Membership offers opportunities to participate in activities, which benefit the school, the community, and the student.”
