Holy Trinity School is focused on both academics and religion, balancing them both on a daily basis. All classes attend weekly mass and monthly school mass. Every school mass, a different grade holds the readings and the Prayer of the Faithful.
There are four yards, the main yard – which is for first through third grade and sixth and seventh grade – the Walker St. yard – which is for fifth and eighth grade – the kindergarten yard, and the fourth-grade yard, which is located on the corner of Sepulveda and Walker.
In elementary school, pupils generally stay in their assigned classrooms. Once students start sixth grade, they travel between the two sixth grades, then, starting in seventh grade, students rotate between the seventh and eighth-grade classrooms, allowing them to learn subjects in different environments that highlight the main subject taught in those classes.
In elementary school – based on the pupil’s Star Testing scores – some kids are placed in Math Lab with Ms. Garcia. In seventh grade, the students take a math test which will place them in either Advanced or Basic Math, allowing them to learn at their speed and level.
We have many different events, such as the annual Fall Event which is just before Halloween, the pancake breakfast that is held by the eighth grade, the jog-a-thon that raises money for charities and good causes, and the food trucks.
Holy Trinity School helps children grow not only in their academic life but also in their religious one, helping all of the pupils to become faithful and loving Christians.
