The student council donated $10,000 to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, they also hung out with the kids and served them dinner at a Christmas party. Jena Denardo said “We felt so good being able to participate in this event, it was an once in a lifetime opportunity and I’m so glad I did it. I got to see how blessed my friends and I are to be able to do so many things that these kids weren’t able to do.” The student council also set up a wii and played games with the kids.
The 5-1-bake sale was proposed at Holy Trinity School. The class decided to do the bake sale for many reasons. The class had the sale to help the Houck family. The class is going to decide by a vote to where the rest of the money will go. During math class, Mrs. Shipman had the idea of the bake sale. The class went to Ralph’s together and bought the supplies; they went back to school and analyzed their prices and deals. Afterward, they baked the goods and sold them to the classes at recess and lunch. After the sale, Mrs. Shipman handed out a worksheet to the class for comparing prices.  The class made plenty of money!
