Awards

Awards at Holy Trinity are a huge deal. Our school has many fields where students excel and earn awards, and this can include through academics, athletics, and leadership programs.

For example, at the end of each month, each teacher selects three students. This is called Student of the Month. The students are selected because they participate in class, are of service to the class, and show that they are the best students in the class for the month.

Another award students take very seriously is Honor Roll and Principal’s Honor Roll. These awards are given at the end of each quarter to 4th-8th grade. Students who receive Honor Roll have nothing lower than three B’s in their main subjects, nothing lower than a C- in Spanish, Music, or PE, and nothing lower than a B in behavior. Students who receive Principal’s Honor Roll have nothing lower than an A- in their main subjects, nothing lower than a B- in Spanish, Music, and PE, and nothing lower than an A- in behavior. The Principal’s Honor Roll students also receive Scrip for a $10 gift card of their choice.

Students in the middle school receive a second award for reading. Accelerated Reader is a program powered by Renaissance Learning, the website used for STAR Testing. Each middle school student takes a test once they are done reading a book. Each book is worth a certain amount of points, and your score on each test determines the number of points you earn. Each grade has to earn a certain amount of points each quarter: 6th grade had 15 points, 7th grade has 20 points, and 8th grade had 25 points. The Accelerated Reading Award is given to students who earned 50+ points, which is more than double the requirement.

Holy Trinity is not just proud of their academics. We are proud of our athletics also. The school hosts the Sports Awards a few times each year, giving those who worked their hardest credit.
