Religion at Holy Trinity

by: Diego (Student)

At Holy Trinity, we take our Religion very serious. Each grade goes to our Catholic Church. All grades, preschool through eighth grade, learn about our faith using the We Believe curriculum. The regular religion classes are usually taught by the homeroom teacher. The sixth-grade students study the Bible by reciting words from scripture. We also have a week dedicated to how we are Catholic kids. When we participate in Catholic Schools Week, we think about how privileged we are to attend a Catholic school.

During the week before Easter, the 5th graders present a live Stations of the Cross. Each class attends weekly mass at 8:00 am, and the 7th and 8th graders stay and participate in Adoration. Each month, the whole school comes together and participates in a school mass, which a class puts on. The biggest example of our Catholic faith is the way every student treats one another. We are taught to follow the Ten Commandments and follow the Golden Rule which is: treat each person as they would like to be treated.
